Oh my goodness, we're in week 9 of my domestic dummy makeover - only 3 more weeks to go!
This week I am focusing again on one of my real crunch points which is getting things ready the night before - last week it was my bag and this week it's clothes.
I hate that every morning it is a scramble trying to decide what to wear, discovering the things I thought were clean aren't and then pulling on whatever I can find so we get out of the door on time.
I drives me insane but I don't do the simple thing that would help which is get everything ready the night before!
I think a lot of us mums struggle with it, because in those first years of our children's lives we get used to having to "wing it" a lot of the time plus we grab sleep whenever we can and thirdly, we just - and I put my hand up here - let things go a bit.
More fundamentally, I need to get on top of my wardrobe - work out what works and what doesn't and de-clutter big time.
But in the meantime, I will try really hard to take those few minutes every evening to:
- Decide what I'm wearing
- Hang it out ready for the next day
- Pick out some jewellery
- AND make sure that my make up is actually on my dressing table and not hidden away in my daughter's bedroom somewhere!
I would love to hear your tips? How do you ensure that you get out of the house looking smart and presentable every morning?
