Wednesday morning Mason gave me a big kiss and gave Griffin an elbow to the face. Hazards of having a two-year-old and a newborn :)
Waking up is hard to do...
After some morning stretches and a nap, Griffin and I got dressed and ready to head to the pediatrician for her two-week check-up...
Dr. Chad checked her out, told me that she's perfect (duh!) and after her heel prick we were on our way!
We made a pit-stop at Sonic and then headed to MCA to pick up Luke-Man. He was soooooooooo cute... when we were walking through the gym they were having basketball practice and he made everyone stop playing while his baby sister was coming through :) He got to do one of his favorite things... running up and down the giant hill and then when we got in the car I had a strawberry slush waiting for him.
On the way home there was a group of firemen doing the "fill the boot" thing at an intersection and when we gave them our change they gave us stickers. Griffin ended up with one on her forehead courtesy of Mason.
Wednesday morning was CRAZY cold, so Little Miss and I had to bundle up before going to MCA to meet with my 6th grade student government representatives about their movie night I was planning for Friday (even though I'm on maternity leave, I still have end-of-the-year duties with my student government kids which include a 6th grade movie night and a 7th/8th grade Semi-Formal in two weeks).
Friday morning Griffin and I were back up at MCA to decorate for the "Beach Blast Movie Night" and she as lookin' extra cute :)
Friday night the boys stayed home with Miss Haley (a former student and AWESOME babysitter) while Griffin and I went to party it up with the 6th Graders. You can totally tell that she was having a fantastic time, right??? :)
While mommy performed student government sponsor duties. The night was super fun... we had a snow cone machine, inflatable "wrecking ball", silly string fight, tiki torches, pizza and watched Soul Surfer. The kids had a fantastic time and it's one more thing I can check off my list of things to do! :)
Saturday morning Luke insisted that he wasn't hungry because he was too busy playing Legos, so it was just Mason and I at the picnic table (Dave had a Disney Princess Breakfast at the club).
CRAZY BOY!
Luke was excited to hold his sister :)
I am soooooooooooo thankful that I decided to take a pregnancy test on the morning I had my van packed up with all of my baby gear (including my double stroller). I don't know what I would do without it!
Luke amazes me with how far his handwriting has come. Today we practiced on the magna doodle by writing our family members names...
While I was making dinner the boys watched a Cailou and I caught them having some unprompted snuggle time. LOVE THIS!
