Last Wednesday was Luke's last day of school and I totally dropped the ball. I had grand plans for a pancake breakfast, adorable teacher gifts and a photo op before heading out the door. Instead, Dave and I woke up at 7:30 (we typically leave the house at 7:25), threw Luke in a uniform and literally RAN out the door. While Dave was rushing Luke to school Mason and I hung out and ate breakfast. He kept getting his foot "tuck" :)
The day after all the tornadoes and a friend posted a fantastic article... this part really resonated with me:
I caught one of Griffins very first genuine smiles :)
Just for comparison... 2 days old and 5.5 weeks :)
... and I SWEAR she almost rolled over :)
Griffin and I picked up both the boys and I was cracking up at my little crew walking down the deck at MCA:
The boy side of the table...
... and the much calmer and more mellow girls side :)
Dave ran to Kroger to pick up a few things (including Popcorn Indiana's Kettle Corn) and he texted me this pic... it was a true tragedy :)
I also got a text from Sierra Leone (seriously!). A dad of one of my students went on a mission trip and I gave him loads of my boys outgrown clothes as well as a bunch of dresses that I wasn't wearing anymore. This little guy is sporting a shirt that both my boys wore. How cool is that?!?!? The kids were crazy excited about the clothes and the dresses all went to older girls at the orphanage. It was so neat to see clothes that my kids wore on kids in Africa! WAY better than dropping them off at Goodwill.
