Who knew sweeping leaves could be so much fun?

It was a lovely sunny day yesterday which we thought would be perfect for trying out The Mini Mes and Me's fabulous idea for making an enormous leaf spider.

We swept up enormous piles of leaves on the pavement, shoved them into black bin bags and then fixed the spider with some staples and masking tape.  We decided that our spider - Sydney - had been eating too many flies and biscuits and drinking too much beer so we gave him a super fat tummy and rather pudgy legs.

Sydney might not be quite as elegant as the Mini Mes and Me's original but we had so much fun making him with other children on our street that we've decided to make it an autumn tradition and make another one next year!
